Very nice and helpfull tourleaders with much experience
The Dragon Trip – 10-Day South Korea Premium Tour Overall, I enjoyed visiting South Korea and our tour leader was enthusiastic, hardworking, and genuinely committed to looking after the group. However, I do not feel this tour delivered the premium experience that was advertised. My biggest concern was the group size. With 17 people on the coach, the tour felt too large to be considered premium. While everyone in the group was friendly and pleasant, the size inevitably reduced flexibility and the overall experience felt more like a standard group tour. The itinerary was also very fast-paced, with limited free time to explore independently or simply enjoy the destinations. At times it felt like we were moving from one activity to the next without enough opportunity to appreciate the places we were visiting. A free day or even a half-day break in the middle of the tour would greatly improve the experience. The tour leader worked very hard and was a genuinely nice person. However, his English skills were quite limited, which made it difficult for him to share the history, culture, and deeper insights about South Korea. There were many opportunities to provide more context and information, but the language barrier restricted this. Jeju Island was a particular disappointment. Although we stayed for two nights, our arrival time meant we effectively only had one full day of activities. The group also had to encourage the tour leader to allow time to visit the famous women divers, which I believe should be an essential part of any Jeju Island itinerary rather than an optional addition. Several of the included cruises were underwhelming. The Busan evening cruise was promoted as an opportunity to see the illuminated bridge, but it departed too early and we saw very little of the lighting display. The most “memorable” part of the cruise was the crew setting off crackers, and the experience lasted only around 45 minutes. Similarly, the Jeju Island cruise was on a lovely boat, but there was very little to see and the atmosphere from the crew was not particularly welcoming. Overall, it felt underwhelming and added little value to the itinerary. The accommodation throughout the tour was comfortable, well located, and perfectly adequate. However, beyond the hotels, there was very little that felt genuinely premium about the experience. South Korea is a wonderful destination, but I believe this tour would benefit from smaller group sizes, more free time, a slower pace, and guides with stronger English-language skills to better share the country’s rich history and culture.
the Service i received was great, always available to and answer any question i had.
All emails prior to the trip provided all necessary information about itinerary, potential extra activities, what is recommended to pack, insurance forms and more. It was very helpful to prepare. The accommodation and transport was organised in a way which made the trip run very smoothly and all activities were really enjoyable. Our tour guide CheongAn was amazing.
Was definitely worth it, was an amazing tour with a lovely itinerary and very clean accommodation, loved every second of it and would definitely recommend!
Everything was really well organised and thought out, and felt a lot better prepared than some of the other trips I’ve taken, even a trip that was also with The Dragon Trip.
The tour has been great, I’ve seen lots of Japan and I feel a lot better about travelling here independently in the future. I’ve learned lots too’
Good communication
The local guides were very helpful and knowledgeable and the preparation for the trip was very well communicated with customer support.
The guidance through the booking process, the support towards the trip date and the guidance during the trip really made me feel comfortable and gave me trust in the whole The Dragon Trip organisation. I'm already looking for my next trip on their website! :)
