These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; and (iv) if applicable, to data portability. In certain circumstances, you may also have the right to object to the processing of your personal information.
12. Google User Data & Google API Services
When you choose to connect a Google account to Rated Stores, we request access to specific Google services so we can provide features you have asked for. We only access this data with your explicit consent, and only to the extent needed to deliver those features.
What we access and why
- Google Business Profile (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage) — to read the business locations and customer reviews associated with the Google account you connect, so we can import, display, aggregate, and (where you enable it) reply to those reviews on your behalf within Rated Stores. - Google Search Console (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly) — to read verified-site and search-performance data for domains you own, so we can surface SEO and review-visibility insights for your business profile. - Basic profile and email (
openid,userinfo.email,userinfo.profile) — to identify you and link the connection to your Rated Stores account.
How we use, store, and share it
Data obtained from these Google APIs is used solely to provide and improve the user-facing features described above. We do not sell it, do not use it for advertising, and do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide these features, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition. We do not use Google user data to train generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models. Access tokens and the data we import are stored securely and encrypted, and access by our staff is limited to what is required for security, to comply with the law, or where you have given consent.
Limited Use
Rated Stores' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access
You can disconnect a Google account from within your Rated Stores dashboard at any time, and you can review or revoke Rated Stores' access directly in your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Revoking access stops all further data access; data already imported is deleted on request via hello@ratedstores.com.
