Just back from a fabulous 10 days walking Menorca's coastal route - the Cami de Cavalls - with Pura Aventura. Quiet, unspoilt beaches, meandering rocky trails, and plenty of spring sunshine. All the hotels were lovely and the logistics absolutely faultless. Pura is a great company to travel with: highly recommended!

We recently had an outstanding self-guided inn-to-inn walking tour in the Picos de Europa with Pura Aventura. It was our second trip with them in two different regions of Spain and everything about it was first rate. The hikes were spectacular, the accommodations were charming, the food was great. This time we added on a couple of more customized days to their standard trek in the area and were again so appreciative of their thoughtful approach, hearing our interests and then using their local knowledge to suggest ideas that would appeal to us. They are a pleasure to work with and I can't recommend Pura Aventura highly enough.

My wife and I consider ourselves seasoned and well-traveled. Our typical adventures take us to unusual destinations, where we often spend up to 12 weeks hiking, exploring, sightseeing, and immersing ourselves in the local communities. We have always conducted our own research and made all of our travel arrangements, including flights, rental cars, trains, buses, guides, advance ticket purchases, hotels, and Airbnb accommodations—we’ve done it all. We have traveled extensively throughout the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, and Asia. Then came Patagonia. For six months, beginning a year before our intended departure, I tried to make the arrangements for this two-month adventure. I simply couldn’t do it. There were too many complications, and I never felt comfortable or confident completing the plans. It was incredibly frustrating. Thank goodness for PURA. Friends recommended PURA as an option to help us, and after an initial conversation with Thomas followed by a detailed presentation, we were convinced. They took great care to understand how we like to travel—what we enjoy seeing and doing, as well as the types of accommodations, food, and amenities we prefer and expect. Hiking, history, and photography are our main interests, and to say they “hit the ball out of the park” would be an understatement. On almost every level, PURA exceeded our expectations—not only with accommodations and logistics, but also with their recommended activities, guides, and itineraries. While these were all outstanding, they were not the most important aspect. On an adventure of this nature—where we moved more than twenty times over a seven-week period—complications can easily arise, leading to uncertainty and anxiety. At times, we were unsure of our next steps simply due to the complexity of the journey. Once again, PURA came to the rescue. Their support staff, both in the UK and on the ground in Patagonia, were exceptional in helping us understand the logistics and in answering any questions along the way. More importantly, we never had to wait for assistance—their responses were almost immediate and always clear and easy to understand. Their level of service was truly world-class. For anyone considering travel where comfort and confidence are essential, we wholeheartedly recommend PURA Adventures and their team of experts. I promise you will not be disappointed. In fact, the experience will exceed your expectations, leaving you delighted beyond words.

Everything felt special! Our first experience of this company - it will not be our last. The team were very responsive before and even during our holiday. Little tweaks they made whilst we were on holiday made all the difference and made us feel they were almost with us. Whenever we asked the venues or personal guides about Pura Aventura, the responses were all the same - universally liked and they felt respected by the company. Great itinerary, lots of wonderful surprises and lovely hotels. Highly recommended. (We did a bespoke driving and walking holiday in Basque and Pyrenees)

Highly recommend Pura Aventura for a self guided hiking trip. My sister and I are both retired and we chose the Walking Highlights of the High Pyrenees trip. It was everything we hoped for and more! Having a guide for the first bit hike of each leg was perfect. Xisco (our guide) is incredibly knowledgeable and also attuned to the fitness levels and capabilities of his clients. The staff at Hotel Siete Reyes were lovely and the dinner at the Callizo (Michelin restaurant) was an experience of a lifetime. The eco Hotel Terra was a tranquil delight. Alejandro and Mirabel are wonderful hosts--they gave us fabulous suggestions for sightseeing and Mirabel kept feeding us the most amazing dishes with recipes she learned from her and Alejandro's family. Greta and all the folks at Pura Aventura kept us informed and kept in touch every step of the way.
