I want to say a huge thank you to Chris and Rob at Hammond Halesworth. From the very first point of contact with Chris, we were listened to, advised when asked, and were helped to find the right car. Chris was patient, kind, respectful and professional throughout the process. Thank you for your hard work and support. I also need to thank Rob, who helped smooth a last minute stress from me and was incredibly kind and generous with his understanding. Both of these gentlemen were fantastic and a real credit to the Hammond group. I would highly recommend this garage to anyone looking to buy a car from a trustworthy and reliable place. You will be very well looked after.

**update** They contacted us after this review and where very apologetic and helpful. So thank you very much. Closed the bury st Edmunds branch with no notice or communication while paying a service contract. Only found out while trying to call and said number not recognised. Disappointing service..

We cannot praise Hammond's group enough. My daughter's car was recovered by Hammond's via the AA from the A12/14 in Ipswich. They encountered a problem with another recovery company called Egerton's mandated by National Highways. Despite the serious problems caused by Egerton’s driver, Hammond's recovery returned to sort out the mess created. Indeed, they did so even at some personal risk to Hammond’s staff. Thereafter, they did a good job of looking after the broken-down car, right to the point of deciding to scrap it. Throughout our many dealings with Hammond's over this incident, from boss to managers to regular staff, we found all their team exceptionally friendly and courteous. They go well beyond what one can reasonably expect. They also waived a lot of potential charges too, which was very decent of them. Given the rural location of Hammond's in Halesworth, I think they make a point of taking customer service very seriously. Consequently, this ensures that people come to them, rather than sticking to companies in Ipswich, Lowestoft and Norwich. Very solid five stars all around.

Thanks so much for Hammonds response to my. Call out with a flat battery at 3 30 am this morning. Not a scary experience but quite cold.Hammonds response punctual, quick, advice spot on.Also thanks to the AA whose handling of my call was effective and reassuring.Thanks to all.

Collected car from service . Work needed to be completed (some done on this service) as I was re newing my MOT insurance ( was advised to do this September 2024 as would be plenty of time MOT beginning of 2025) this could be done under this, then. However cannot do this insurance as over 100,000.. was never told this, even though my car at last MOT had done 98,416 miles. Red Flag to staff then NO! As we talked around date of me popping in to do this later in the year. My god, staff do not even care, walked out, took nearly £800 for a service and some work… will never buy from them or use this garage for services. Awful, made me sad 😢 Oh to rub salt in the wound TOOK the insurance money before saying “can’t do this” Now having to wait for this to be returned! Rant over.. I could flag more issues having just looked back on MOT’s as advisory at 80,000 are the same ones as are at 98,416 and of course I have now to pay for them.
