Really great engaging session delivered covering key topics, with fantastic practical advice and great activities to embed new skills

The presentation was highly engaging, it felt like it got us all involved and actively thinking about how we can continue to improve our bids in a more strategic and responsive way, but at a level that even the most junior people could understand and start applying straight away. I particularly really valued the lessons I took away for identifying benefits, features and proof points, and having a very clear and structured way of creating an executive summary.

I found the session to be well-structured and engaging. It was useful that the session began by outlining the key intentions of a proposal, as this shaped my thinking throughout the session. I also think it was particularly beneficial that he included tasks within the session that allowed us to apply the knowledge he had shared. It was refreshing to look at a proposal from a different perspective, one that enabled me to feel closely connected with a potential client in terms of aligning their goals with our services. I certainly feel that I learnt a lot of best practices that have the potential to enhance our proposals going forward.

Lisa Easthorpe has been proactive, attentive and responsive throughout the recruitment process. This has meant I have been kept regularly informed of updates, importantly she has followed up directly with the client as promised and then shared their feedback which we have then both been able to act upon. This has been a great collaboration and a repeat of the same level of professionalism I experienced a few years ago when applying for a FTC role with RPS. Bid Solutions provided their Storyline training to my bid team (we are a large consulting engineering firm). They delivered an exceptionally engaging, interactive session which we genuinely enjoyed. The material was easy to understand while providing plenty of food for thought for people at a variety of grades (entry level to Associate Director), and as well as being informative was also energising - the team has been inspired and empowered to deploy the techniques from the course to our own proposals. Highly recommended to anyone looking to improve their work winning, from bid, business development and sales teams to senior management.

I thoroughly enjoyed the training session with Chris. It was engaging and provided useful tips on how to improve our writing, creating responsive bids rather than simply compliant ones, and thinking more carefully about who we are writing for, as well as how our responses will be read and scored. One key takeaway for me is the importance of a strong executive summary, and the impact it can have when it’s done well! I’ll definitely be using Chris’s approach to exec summaries, clearly setting out our offer, including price, and showing the client’s ROI where possible.
