Love my new starlings shade on my cornet base lamp!

So incredibly pleased with Jo’s work on our large oblong Lampshade. We have tried for years to find someone who would take the project on and could not be more pleased with the results. Jo sourced perfect materials, communicated at a distance and very kindly managed to fit the work in while we were staying with family for a week in the area. 100% satisfied. Thank you Jo 🙏.

I asked Jo to recover my faded pendant shades since finding replacements of the right depth was impossible. Reusing them was more sustainable, and I could choose fabric to suit my décor. I'm delighted with my bespoke shades, and it feels so much better to recycle than create waste. Jo did a fantastic job and is wonderful to work with—I highly recommend her.

I had the lamps for years from America could not replace the shades, so happy I found Jo at Lyme , she went to a lot of trouble to get the correct parts , they look wonderful and a good price , thank you Jo,

We bought a 1930s floor lamp a year ago, and have tried and tried to find someone to restore the faded, blotchy shade. Finally we discovered Jo, and it's all looking grand.

I contacted Jo at Lume Lighting to see if she could refurbish the pagoda shaped lampshade on my oriental brass lamp. Jo was extremely helpful in advising me on material options and once chosen, I sent her the shade to recover it. The task was completed quickly and returned in very sturdy packaging. Some companies I approached would not tackle the job due to the unusual shape. Jo had the experience to take on the project and did an excellent job at a fair cost. I would not hesitate to recommend Lume Lighting if you have a cherished lampshade that needs restoring.

All our team at DLSM Studio attended a workshop by Jo for our annual summer party this year. We all had a fantastic time, the workshop was really well organised and paced, we all felt very comfortable in Jo's confident abilities which allowed us all to make lampshades we loved. Jo is a fantastic teacher and explained the whole process so clearly, as well as lending a helping hand when I couldn’t quite get the hang of it! The day flew by and I learnt so much that I’ll take away with me.

I had a wonderful time at the lampshade-making workshop. The tutor was friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable, explaining each step of the process clearly and making it easy to follow. I came away with a beautiful lampshade and feeling confident enough to make another one on my own. I’d highly recommend this workshop to anyone interested in learning a new skill or making a shade for a room and you bring your own fabric.

Last Sunday I joined a lampshade making workshop run by Jo and it was BRILLIANT. I already own some Lume Lighting lampshades and know how talented Jo is but making my own was such a special experience. I'm not particularly crafty so was a little apprehensive going in but Jo is such a calm, fantastic teacher that any nerves disappeared quickly. I came away with a lampshade I love. I had a great time at this workshop - learned a lot, had fun and left with a handmade lampshade that looks really professional and that I’m really proud of! Jo instructions were really clear, the pace was perfect and Starling studio is easy to find and a lovely bright space to work in. I left feeling super inspired to continue making lampshades! A really productive way to spend a morning. Highly recommend!
