Leaving Trustpilot doesn't mean starting over. Export the review data your business owns, upload it to Rated Stores in minutes, and get collecting under a new model — transparent scoring, no paywall, no competitor ads on your profile. We never scrape Trustpilot — you bring your own data, cleanly.
This page covers the step-by-step.
What gets migrated
| Asset | Migrated? | How |
|---|---|---|
| Your Trustpilot reviews | ✅ | Export from your Trustpilot Business account (CSV/API), upload to our importer |
| Past customers | ✅ | Re-invite them to review you directly — verified reviews you own outright |
| Trustpilot star rating | ✅ shown as historical baseline | New rating builds independently |
| Customer invitation list | ✅ | Bring your CSV; we re-send under your domain |
| Trustpilot widget on your site | ✅ replaced | Drop-in <script> tag swap |
| Trustpilot's "Verified" badge | ❌ | Replaced with Rated Stores' verified-customer badge |
Step-by-step
1. Sign up free at ratedstores.com — no credit card.
2. Claim your company profile — enter your domain and verify ownership.
3. Export your reviews from Trustpilot (Trustpilot Business account → your review data export, or via their Business API), then upload the CSV in your dashboard under Migrate → Import your reviews. Columns are auto-detected; re-uploads are deduplicated.
3b. Re-invite past customers — export your customer list and send review invitations from Rated Stores. Reviews collected this way are verified and yours outright — no export needed ever again (review portability is the whole point).
4. Connect additional sources — Google Business Profile, Etsy, Facebook, Yotpo, Judge.me etc. Each takes 2–5 minutes via OAuth.
5. Install the Rated Stores widget — replace your Trustpilot <iframe> with our <script> tag. We have drop-in equivalents for every Trustpilot widget style.
6. Decide on your Trustpilot account — keep it open as a passive listing (zero monthly cost on the free tier) or close it. Most brands keep it open for 6–12 months during transition.
Why migrate now
- Cut the bill. Trustpilot mid-tier plans start around €299/mo. Rated Stores premium is flat-rate, typically 60–80% less.
- Faster removal of fake reviews. Trustpilot's 7–21 day flag-and-wait becomes a 48–72h verified-evidence review.
- No competitor ads on your public profile.
- Multi-source aggregation — your Google + Etsy + Trustpilot ratings combine into one number customers can trust.
- AI features included — summary, reply assistant, fake-review detection.
What to expect
- First 30 days: Review velocity may dip slightly while customers learn the new invitation domain. Run Trustpilot + Rated Stores in parallel.
- 30–90 days: Sources are connected, AI features active, dashboards reflect aggregated rating.
- 90 days+: Rated Stores profile starts ranking in branded search ("[your brand] reviews"). Consider closing Trustpilot subscription.
FAQ
Q: Can I really import my Trustpilot reviews? A: Public reviews on your Trustpilot profile, yes. We scrape the public feed, attribute reviews correctly, and link back to the original Trustpilot URL for verification.
Q: Does Trustpilot allow this?
A: We import only what's publicly visible on your profile (which Trustpilot itself makes public via their schema.org/Review markup). We don't access private Trustpilot APIs.
Q: Will customers be confused by the change? A: Use the Rated Stores email template builder to send a clear "We're switching review platforms" announcement before cutover.
Q: What about Trustpilot's TrustBox widget? A: Replace it with a Rated Stores widget — same install pattern, same star display, plus aggregated multi-source rating if you want it.
Q: Will my Google Seller Ratings keep working? A: Yes. Reconnect Google in Rated Stores; Google Seller Ratings feed continues uninterrupted.
